We all need the inspiration to keep running and there is no better inspiration than planning your next trail running adventure.
Chile/Argentina- Patagonia – Southern end of South America
Surrounded by Spectacular granite spires, inside the Torres del Paine National Park, this part of the world provides majestic surroundings including grand peaks like the Three Towers, dramatic face freezing glaciers and lakes that look as if they have been painted on with mysterious colours.
It has been host to events such as Patagonia Expedition Race, a multi-day multi-sport event and the Patagonia International Marathon. With the newest international Trail Running event Ultra Fiord offering distances from 30K-100miles.
Chamonix in the Rhône-Alpes region in south-eastern France.
Undoubtedly one of the most famous and dramatically beautiful places in the world of Trail running is Chamonix.
Nestled in the Alps with Mount Blanc majestically overseeing the dramatic landscape.
This is a must for any trail runner. Hosting one of the most prestigious trails running events in the World the Ultra-Trail Du Mont-Blanc or UTMB for short is part of a five-race extravaganza in August every year.
Even the thought of this fills me with joy.

Here is a look at some moments of this year’s Marathon du Mont-Blanc.
Colorado aka The Rockies, are a major mountain range in western North America.
The Rockies are home to some of the most famous trail running locations in the US. Including Oscar’s Pass, Mt. Belford and Grays Peak.
Because of this beautiful landscape and challenging terrain, it hosts over 185 trail races each year and has carved itself into an iconic place for runners to test themselves against the might of this North America beast.
One of their most infamous endurance races is the Hardrock 100 Endurance Run
